So the happy travellers are back home and battling down to routines and familiar beds and places.
What a wonderful trip we had with so many folk to visit and catch up on life with, some much grand scenery to view and foods to taste. Weather a full complement of what one could wish for and so few wet or snow days to get lost in all the sunny days. We were truly blessed with a wonderful time and safe, comfortable travelling. Camper van is the way to go and we were very satisfied with our "Kea". I think the last update was from Ashburton, we travelled on to ChCh from there and had 3 days again with brother and family. They survived the earthquake apart from 2 chimneys which are now a rock pile, their children also safe and no damage. Will the quakes ever stop, it must be hard to keep up faith and still fell shaken around. Sad to say good bye to the van in ChCh but then on to Kaikoura for Lynn’s Mum’s birthday. (We return at labour weekend for the big 90th party). Mum well and great for her age. I returned to Wellington suitably exhausted and way out of kilter with pain medication, tool a week to get it stabilised and feels great now. Was frail of body and soul at the Oncologist visit and declined to commence on oral Chemo that day, I actually feel I will give it a miss all together. Feel crap enough and maybe it is time to wait back and let nature take its toll. The end has to happen at some stage and right now I feel it is not in the too distant future. We are planning for Christmas in Wellington so that’s a goal at the moment. I feel that I am quite a drug addict but it is so good to be pain free and that is my mission these days. Still getting out and about and am up for visits if anyone wants to say hi. Here or out there either way. Lynn is just such a great support and coping with me as I fumble along. Hard work for her but we keep communication clear and free so good all round. She is such a wonderful soul, I am the lucky one. We send our love to you all and will catch up individually with some following this update. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers/support. Much Love, Liz B
