*******FOOD ROSTER NOW BACK IN ACTION - December 2010 *******
Liz & Lynn's lovely neighbours have been providing some meals for Lynn over the past month so that she can full-time care for Liz. Many of them are away in the festive season, so if you are staying in Wellington and can offer a meal please let us know. We have specific days where gaps exist so please email: [email protected]
See below for photos from the Gardening Working Bee which was on Sunday 14th November 2010:
A BIG THANK YOU to all who came along to Liz n Lynn's Gardening Working Bee.... here are a few photos of some who were there....
Update Sunday 14th November 4:30pm
Well wouldn't you know it the sun shone gloriously for us all day today and we merrily weeded away.... A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who came to help. Lynn has posted more here in The Blog .....
Update Sunday 14th November 7:30am:
Although it is a bit windy, wild and chilly today (and next Sunday looks currently like it may be better weather) we're still going ahead with today for those hardy worker bees out there.....
Remember your gardening tools and food to share - thank you :)
Vida's mobile is 021 239 0104 but she does not get reception at home so will not be able to read messages until nearer 10am.
Liz said that she would enjoy sitting out on the chair that she bought with the money she was gifted recently chatting and eating with her friends whilst they helped the lovely Lynn get their garden in order as it has got a bit wild lately!
Please do come and join us in the fun!
Would be great if you could bring some of your own gardening tools as we will not have enough for everyone.
MEAL ROSTER
Meals for Liz and Lynn are being coordinated and you can let your availability be known by contacting [email protected]. We have come to realise over the past months of this roster that Liz likes pretty much anything with eggs....!
When Liz was first going through her rounds of chemo treatment, she was finding some foods not palatable but she is now able to eat most things and is cooking for herself in the main so does not need meals cooked so much for her, unless someone really wants to cook, and in that case we are always open to receive a meal.
